Juventus have issued a ten day ultimatum to Liverpool midfielder Emre Can regarding signing for the Serie A club, according to Tuttosport.

The German international has yet to make a decision on his future despite having only months left to go on his contract at Anfield, but the Italian team’s CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed they expect a resolution very soon:

“We want to close the soap opera within ten days. The player is evaluating the opportunities, we wait.”

Juve has been firm favourites to sign the 24 year old, but Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed a couple of weeks ago that negotiations over a new deal for Can remain “open.”

The Italian league leaders are also likely to have put an offer on the table for the midfielder, but Tuttosport report that Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also in the running.

Can is currently sidelined with a back injury, and there is no date set for his return to training. He could have played his last game for Liverpool, but as things stand his future remains firmly up in the air.
