Liverpool’s attacking form this season has been nothing short of sensational but Jurgen Klopp is still looking for improvements, as he seeks to improve the depth of his squad.
As such, Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport state the Reds have expressed an interest in the signature of Fiorentina’s £44m-rated winger Federico Chiesa, who has caught the eye in Serie A with his fine performances for the Europa League chasing side.
20-year-old Chiesa has attracted plenty of interest with his performances in Italy, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Napoli all keen on the services of the highly-rated young winger.
Fiorentina will not budge on their asking price for the Italy international though, as they’re demanding that any interested party activates the £44m release-clause in the youngster’s contract- but Liverpool have the funds to do so.
The Reds saw their finances bolstered in January with the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and further funds could be raised in the summer with other outgoing deals, with England international Daniel Sturridge amongst those linked with an exit.
