AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso wants to club to turn down offers from Liverpool and Tottenham in the summer for Suso, reports Calciomercato.com.
The former Reds midfielder has a €45m (£39m) release clause, and could be sold by the Rossoneri as they look to make up for the loss in revenue for failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Gattuso’s side currently sit sixth in Serie A, and now lie eight points behind fourth placed Roma with seven games to go.
Liverpool sold Suso to Milan in 2015, but the club are said to be keen on re-signing him to strengthen the club’s forward line.
The 24 year old has become a crucial player for the Italian side and he has made 43 appearances this campaign, scoring eight goals and providing 12 assists.
The Spaniard got his first senior cap for his country back in November, playing the first half in the 3-3 draw against Russia.
