Liverpool are seeking to improve their goalkeeping ranks this summer ahead of a push to knock Manchester City off their Premier League perch next season, with neither Simon Mignolet nor Loris Karius setting the world alight.

A host of top names have been mentioned but Liverpool are also said to be in the hunt for a highly-rated teenage talent in the form of Ukrainian talent Andriy Lunin, who has attracted plenty of attention this season.

The 19-year-old, rated at just £6m, is linked with the likes of Arsenal and Inter Milan heading into the summer but The Sun quote his agent as suggesting that Leicester City lead the chase for his services, as agent Irakli Khvedeliani said:

“Various clubs in Italy, Austria and England have asked about Lunin. Right now Leicester and Inter are strongly after him, although I can’t say much more at the moment.”

“I don’t know whether Napoli or Roma are interested in Lunin. I only learned about this through the media – but I can’t say they won’t be in touch soon.”

Already earning a senior international debut for Ukraine, Lunin is expected to become one of Europe’s finest in the coming years.
