Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp faces an array of necessary business this summer if his Reds side are to knock Manchester City off their perch at the top of the Premier League, after Pep Guardiola side’s dominance this season.
The Reds have at least proved their capability of overcoming the Citizens, beating the title winners on three occasions this term, but need additional recruits if they to embark on a campaign to end their long wait without a league crown next year.
There’s already plenty of speculation regarding who Liverpool could sign but former Arsenal man Ian Wright has leant a helping hand, urging the Merseyside outfit to move for Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak- telling Sky Sports he’s the ideal man for the club.
“I think if Liverpool are definitely going to challenge City, that’s the position [they need to strengthen]. I would get that keeper, Oblak-kind of like stature. That top keeper that can win you games with saves.”
The Slovenia international, like Liverpool, is preparing for a European semi-final next week as Atletico go toe-to-toe against Arsenal in the Europa League.
