Liverpool are poised for plenty of activity this summer as they seek to knock Manchester City off their perch at the top of the Premier League next season but they could be set to lose some important figures.
The future of Germany international Emre Can has been up in the air for a while as he rapidly approaches the end of his contract and it appears a conclusion to the saga is finally in sight – although it will hand Liverpool a significant blow.
Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport claim Can will sign a five-year deal with Serie A title-chasers Juventus after the Champions League final next month, which could be the midfielder’s last appearance for the Reds.
Currently absent through injury, Can is eyeing a return for the Champions League final, should Liverpool qualify, and will then wave goodbye to Anfield and his seals a deal with Juventus, who have long been named as the favourites for his signature.
