Liverpool are eyeing a wealth of changes this summer ahead of their preparations for an assault on the Premier League title next season, where midfield is likely to be an area of focus for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The Reds are poised to lose Germany international Emre Can at the end of his contract in just a few months time and reports have suggested that Norwich City ace James Maddison is a target to replace the 24-year-old.

However, the Championship side have slapped a huge asking price upon the head of the England U21 international, according to The Mirrorwith Premier League champions Manchester City also eyeing a deal.

Norwich will demand at least £30m for the signature of the 21-year-old this summer, who has been the star-man for the mid-table outfit this season, scoring 15 goals and being crowned the club’s Player of the Year.

Liverpool will face a fight for the starlet’s services, as a number of Premier League sides have been attributed with an interest and the youngster could seek first-team assurances that the Reds may be unable to offer.
