Signing Gianluigi Donnarumma would ensure that Liverpool get the unofficial accolade of making the best signing in the upcoming summer window, but there’s only one clear way for them to pull a deal off.

The 6ft 5in goalkeeping sensation is clearly already on the Reds’ radar as SportsMediaSet reported on Monday that Jurgen Klopp’s side had offered £35.1million plus a player to Donnarumma’s agent, only for AC Milan to want £61.46million for his services.

This report showed how far away the Reds were from meeting the Italian giants’ valuation of their talented teenage goalkeeper, but there is a way for the Merseyside club to easily make up the difference.

All they have to do is defeat Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 26 and take home the winnings.

The Liverpool Echo reported on Monday that Klopp’s side will take home more than £70million should they win the prestigious tournament this season.

While the local newspaper claimed that the Reds would still get a hefty financial reward for finishing runners-up, the club really need all the funds they can to be able to tear Donnarumma away from AC Milan.

The 19-year-old has already played 125 times for the Italian giants and destined to be one of the world’s best goalkeepers if he continues developing at the unbelievable rate that he is.

Donnarumma’s fabulous shot-stopping ability, agile reflexes and his knack for saving shots from close-range and long-range would see him be a revelation at Anfield.

While the club have gotten better between the sticks, Loris Karius has made a notable improvement, signing the 19-year-old goalkeeper would see there be no doubt about the Reds’ goalkeeping options.

This would see Donnarumma be a gamechanging signing that no other team in the world could match in the upcoming summer transfer window, as given his talent, experience and age, there’s no one else like him.

Therefore the Reds reportedly already have the signing of the summer on their radar, they just need the mouthwatering jackpot from the Champions League final to get the deal done.
