Liverpool fans are convinced Georginio Wijnaldum is on his way out after the confirmed signing of Fabinho on Monday night.

The Merseyside giants secured the capture of midfield anchorman Fabinho from Monaco in a deal reportedly worth £43.6million including performance-related add-ons.

The 24-year-old is set to compete for a starting spot next season along with fellow new signing Naby Keita as Jurgen Klopp reshapes his midfield following the weekend Champions League defeat.

The two captures will have a significant effect on the futures of current midfielders Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Adam Lallana and the injured Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Wijnaldum started the Champions League final and has been a mainstay of the team since joining from Newcastle United for £25million in the summer of 2016.

But a section of Liverpool supporters believe the Dutchman, who stats site Spotrac claim earns £75,000-a-week, is heading for the exit door following the capture of Fabinho in the last 24 hours.
