Madrid to accelerate pursuit of Salah

Real Madrid are preparing a very tempting offer to sign Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in case Gareth Bale leaves the club, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish football news outlet claim that Madrid president Florentino Perez is making one last attempt to keep Bale at the club but knows it’s practically impossible for him to succeed with his mission regarding the elite attacker.

Don Balon report that due to this Madrid are accelerating their pursuit of Salah and are already preparing a very tempting offer in order to get their man.

Good move for Liverpool?

No, Madrid’s interest just won’t go away and with the future of Bale looking in doubt, their pursuit is clearly going to intensify.

Bale scored 21 goals in 39 appearances in his 2017/18 campaign, which included him striking twice for his side in the final to lift the Champions League trophy instead of the Reds, and there’s few players in the world who could replace him.

Salah is an obvious name for Madrid to look at and that is bad news for the Reds as the Champions League winners have plenty of cash to throw at the Merseyside giant in order to their winger.

Under no circumstances should Salah be allowed to leave, as after scoring 44 goals in 52 outings in his debut season at Anfield, he’s priceless.

Likely to happen?

Don Balon like to link Salah to Madrid every other week so it’s hard to believe them until a move happens.

However they have point by linking the potential exit of Bale to an increased interest in Salah as who else in the world could realistically replace the Welsh international at the club.

Though it’s worth noting that Jurgen Klopp will no doubt put his foot down when it comes to keeping Salah at Anfield and while reports vary on his views towards a move, the winger seems happy where he is.

Therefore this just seems like another case of Don Balon stirring the pot when it comes to Salah’s future.
