OPINION

There are widespread reports of Rangers circling for Liverpool players this summer, with the presence of the Gers new manager Steven Gerrard a big factor.

It is certainly an understanding that would massively boost the Scottish giants if they managed to bring in some young talents on loan, but it’s equally profitable for the Premier League team.

Jurgen Klopp should feel like he can trust Gerrard if he sends players to Ibrox to try improve and being schooled in front of an intense atmosphere can only be good.

One player that Liverpool should consider offloading on a temporary basis next year is attacker Sheyi Ojo and a move to Rangers to be a part of the Gerrard revolution would be perfect.

Ojo is a right-winger with lightning pace and is not yet ready to break into the first team at Anfield, despite shogun such promise as a youngster.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan in the Championship with Fulham, while he also has spells at Wolves and Wigan under his belt.

He is a raw attacker that has shown in glimpses his quality for Fulham this season with four goals in 24 appearances, but has been unable to cement his spot in the starting XI.

Ojo is yet to really turn any Liverpool heads from his loan performances and he should get one last opportunity to prove himself away at Rangers next season.

The fleet-footed attacker has the technical ability to torment defences and he should have the acceleration too as well to achieve big things in Scotland under Gerrard’s tutelage.
