Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spoke to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the phone and he shared what he would do at the Spanish giants if in charge, according to Diario Gol.

The Spanish publication shared that after parting company with Zinedine Zidane that the current Reds senior man was a candidate to succeed the Frenchman at the club, but it would be hard to get him out of Anfield.

Diario Goal stated that Klopp had handed Perez some advice by suggesting that that the Spanish giants off load several players such as Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

OPINION

Diario Gol make it very clear that while talks have occurred between Klopp and Perez there is no agreement in place for him to leave the Reds anytime soon. In fact the article seems more leaning towards the fact that the current Reds boss was just offering some helpful advice to Madrid’s president as a courtesy after being phoned. It was previously claimed by The Sun that the Spanish giants wanted Klopp to be their new manager so much, that they were even willing to buy out his contract. This absurd idea seems to have been quickly put to bed which will reassure Reds supporters and this report just dictates what could be in a parallel universe. It’s interesting that Klopp would bin Benzema from the get go as the Reds have found themselves linked with a move to the forward in the past. The German manager eagerness to get rid off the French forward seems to suggests that he wouldn’t want him at Anfield anytime soon.
