Liverpool have completed a deal to sign midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies after he ran down his contract at Chelsea, the player has announced on Twitter.
The 20-year-old has joined the Merseyside giants on a free transfer following his release from the Stamford Bridge club, who he joined at the age of 10.
Christie, who reportedly underwent a trial with the Merseyside club back in March, was pictured in Liverpool kit explaining that he has penned a contract to join the club.
Upon signing for Liverpool, Christie-Davies told Common Goal: “I’m really excited about my move to Liverpool, it’s a real honour to sign for such a big club.
“I hope to be the very best player I can be and play the very best football I can for the club and for the fans.”
We also want to welcome new @LFC player Isaac Christie-Davies to the team. Glad to have you on board! ????? #CommonGoal #JoinTheTeam pic.twitter.com/9Lbd6sKbdX

OPINION
Christie-Davies is one for the future and is set to head straight into the Liverpool Under-23 squad rather than into Jurgen Klopp’s senior side. He follows former Chelsea teammate Dominic Solanke in making the move to Anfield in order to fast-track his development in what is another warning sign to the Londoners, as they continue to stockpile youngsters who never end up playing for their first team. Christie-Davies has been snapped up after undergoing a Liverpool trial in March and impressing scouts at the club’s Kirkby Academy. He has pedigree after spending a decade in the Chelsea academy set-up. Indeed, the box-to-box midfielder is something of a goal machine at youth team level, regularly scoring through bursts from deep. An England youth international, he was also a key player in the Chelsea sides that won the FA Youth Cup and Uefa Youth League in recent years. Liverpool have landed a rising star who has the potential to be an established one.
