Celtic are in the hunt to sign Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson alongside Rangers, Hull City and Norwich City, according to The Scottish Sun.

The newspaper state that Brendan Rodgers has asked the Reds, his former club, to let him have the 21-year-old winger on loan for the season at the Hoops.

The Scottish Sun report that the Reds are considering all inquires for their player and will demand rental fees are paid if Wilson does not feature in enough games while out on loan.

Good move for Liverpool?

Yes.

The Reds have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to sending Wilson out on loan and all the club’s in the current hunt could aid his development.

Wilson, who scored seven goals in 14 appearances while on loan for The Tigers last season, needs to be regularly playing in the upcoming campaign as he needs to continue making exciting progress in his career.

The 21-year-old won’t get many opportunities at Anfield in 2018/19 season just because of the level of competition there currently is for places in the first team.

Celtic seems like a good fit for Wilson as he may get to experience Champions League football with the club.

Likely to happen?

It seems Wilson is destined to exit Anfield on loan this summer as the club is listening to all inquires, but where he will go is anyone’s guess at this point.

Steven Gerrard and Rodgers have both effectively reached out to use their contacts with the Reds in order to end up a talented player like Wilson but it’s hard to know if either will get that man.

Both Hull and the Canaries are prepared to regular play Wilson in order to avoid the Reds issuing them with penalty charges for not playing him enough.

This stance may show the Reds that Wilson will be better off moving to one of those two sides as clearly he will definitely get game time with them.
