Stan Collymore has predicted Liverpool to defeat Crystal Palace 3-1 when the sides meet at Selhurst Park on Monday.

The former Reds forward backed Jurgen Klopp’s side, via his personal Twitter account, to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League after they defeated West Ham 4-0 last weekend.

Crystal Palace, just like the Reds, were also successful in their opening Premier League game last weekend as they defeated Fulham 2-0 at Craven Cottage.

OPINION

It should be no surprise that Collymore is backing the Reds to record a win on Monday night as few would dare predict otherwise. Klopp’s team looked in tip-top form against the Hammers last weekend as they simply overpowered them and brushed them aside on the way to recording an emphatic victory. If the Reds submit a similar performance against Roy Hodgson’s side in their next game then surely another comfortable win will follow for them. Klopp is no doubt aware that his side have to keep an eye on Palace’s Wilfried Zaha during the game as the talented winger looks ready for another great campaign after scoring against the Cottagers last weekend. The 25-year-old could have opted to leave Palace in the summer as he no doubt have several clubs keen on taking him on but for whatever reason Zaha decided it was best if he stayed put. This means the skilful winger will no doubt be looking to be his side’s main attacking threat once again this season.
