Danny Murphy shared that Chelsea seem to have an advantage over Liverpool currently because of the form of Eden Hazard.

The BBC pundit shared that the Blues’ star man was ‘firing’ while Reds attacker Mohamed Salah wasn’t currently looking as prolific as he was last season for the club.

Murphy added that he thought the Egyptian winger would soon regain his golden touch if he continued to keep playing like he was as he was getting in the right places and doing all the right things.

“Chelsea seem to have an advantage at the moment because their star man Eden Hazard is firing while Mohamed Salah isn’t scoring as prolifically for Liverpool as we saw last season,” wrote Murphy for the Daily Mail.

“To me, Salah looked sharp and I don’t think it’ll be long before he’s back to last season’s form. The game can be about fine margins and from what I saw Salah is getting in the right places, doing the right things.

“That final little bit is missing but if he continues to play as he’s doing, the golden touch will return.”

OPINION

Murphy is probably right as Hazard is looking like a game changer and match winner for his side as it stands. Yet as the pundit points out it might not be too long before Salah regains the form that saw him take the Premier League by storm last season. The winger isn’t playing badly as it stands but just seems to have lost his sharpness in front of goal. While Salah did miss opportunities last season, he more often than not ended his outings having picked up at least one goal. The 26-year-old is constantly doing all the rights things in games, as Murphy points out, and if he doesn’t start scoring it won’t be the worst case scenario for Jurgen Klopp. Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are both capable of delivering the goals and Klopp also knows he has Daniel Sturridge to call upon from the bench if necessary with the English forward being a super sub by every stretch of the imagination.
