A section of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the latest comments made by ex-West Ham boss David Moyes.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ ‘Goals on Sunday‘, Moyes told presenter Ben Shepherd that the current Reds team is not the best the Premier League had seen, despite their unbeaten start to the season.

He added that he preferred some of the older teams that included the likes of Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano and Fernando Torres – and some Liverpool supporters have taken issue with his remarks on the social media site.
Some comments included “best Liverpool 11 I’ve ever seen” and “your opinion is worthless.”

Why does his opinion matter when he never coached Liverpool and when he has not coached a team that has come against the current Liverpool team?

He really knows his football doesn’t he……not

Moyes doesn't know or watch Liverpool. Front three plus the defense, goalkeeper … Potential EPL winners…. They haven't had this in the EPL era.

David are you basing that on the number of goals that Liverpool banged in against your Toffee teams or the magical United team you led? Can’t help thinking that your opinion is worthless when it comes to great teams! ?

OPINION
It comes as no surprise that Liverpool fans have taken issue with these latest comments made by David Moyes. Some would view them as controversial, as this is arguably one of the best Liverpool teams that we have seen in a while. They have won six games out of six and they do not look like they will be slowing down anytime soon – so his comments essentially come at the completely wrong time. The Reds are in the best position that they have ever been in to win the Premier League title and usurp Manchester City, so it remains to be seen why Moyes has decided to make these remarks. One fan even branded his opinion as “worthless”, while another labelled him as “clueless.” They are right – and these supporters will undoubtedly be hoping that their team proves him wrong come the end of the season, which they are more than capable of doing.
