Liverpool welcome Red Star Belgrade to Anfield on Wednesday as they look to get their Champions League campaign back on track.

The Reds are coming in on the back of a loss to Napoli last time out, and will be hoping for a big performance against the minnows of Group C tonight.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has several selection headaches that he must overcome before the match, with his misfiring attacking line being the biggest of all.

Some squad players were given the chance to impress at the weekend against Huddersfield, with Adam Lallana, Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge all playing.

A 1-0 win failed to meet expectations, and questions over a lack of attacking prowess from the Reds this season still persist.

Klopp will be looking for his side to address those questions and put down a statement against Red Star, who are looking doomed to group-stage elimination after being drawn alongside Liverpool, PSG and Napoli.

One player who must retain his place on Wednesday is Sturridge, with the 29-year-old looking back to his best for the club this season after a spell away and major injury troubles over the past few seasons.

The £120,000-a-week star [Total Sportek] has already impressed in the Champions League this season with a goal after starting their opening win over PSG, with counterpart Roberto Firmino failing to do the same in their loss against Napoli.

Sturridge has shown that he has what it takes to lead Liverpool to wins this season, and Red Star provide a perfect opportunity for him to show his newfound consistency.

Klopp must now stick to his guns with Sturridge on Wednesday night, with the 29-year-old having the ability and form to blow the Serbian side away.
