Liverpool must take the initiative and reach out to Juventus to see if a deal can be done in order for them to take Divock Origi off the club’s hands.

According to Calciomercato the European giant could look to make a move for Origi as they’re searching for an alternative option to Cristiano Ronaldo to bolster their options.

The publication previously reported that Juventus had been tracking Origi since his time at Lille and could be open to adding him to squad ahead of targets due to his wage demand likely being reasonable.

The Reds must take advantage of a club the size of Juventus being keen on their forward, who hasn’t featured for the senior side all season, as they might be willing to meet his inflated price tag.

According to the Liverpool Echo Jurgen Klopp’s side are set to demand a figure above £20million to part company with their outcast despite him not really setting the world alight in recent seasons.

Origi hasn’t kicked on from the potential he showed at Lille ahead of the Reds signing him, yet clearly given that Juventus are still keen then they must blame other factors for the 23-year-old not developing into the player he looked like being.

The winger has only ever been able to show glimpses of his talents so the Reds are always going to be hard pushed to get anywhere near the £20million, especially as he is locked away from being in the shopping window, due to getting no first-team opportunities.

Given that Origi’s value will continue to plummet as he will likely be starved of chances at Anfield, then the Reds must try to get Juventus to act as soon as possible for the forward so they get as close to their price tag as possible.

Juventus may soon see sense about the risk they would be taking by swooping for Origi, as he is just raw potential, and the Reds need to get a deal done before that happens.

Especially as there could be a forward who forces his way on to the Italian giant’s radar soon and they opt to purse him instead.
