OPINION
Jurgen Klopp decided to start with a different attack to what the Liverpool fans have been used to for this 3-1 win against Burnley, plumping with Daniel Strurridge and Divock Origi in attack. While Origi did not have the best night, the same cannot be said for the 29-year-old fringe figure if these tweets are anything to go by. By the looks of it, these fans could not get enough of Sturridge on Wednesday night, so it is rather easy to echo their sentiments of a man who rarely gets a start for the club. Sturridge was incredibly assured on the ball and some of the link-up play he engaged in was excellent and really positive. One fan commented on how Sturridge was one of the best players on the pitch in this midweek clash, and that is not surprising when you look at the contribution he made. He has proved that he is a viable alternative if Klopp wants to switch things about a bit, and looking at the tweets below, there is no doubt that the Liverpool fans would welcome him with open arms.

Feel that was one of our better performances in the league so far this season. Keita and Sturridge outstanding but Milner was unbelievable. What a top pro ??

Amazing how people used to think Sturridge had no game intelligence. Superb tonight whilst barely breaking into a jog

Anyone else think sturridge looked boss when he dropped to that deeper no.10 role? Passing was great and provided some creativity we were lacking

For me keita and sturridge were the best players today
