Lots of Liverpool fans couldn’t help but heap praise on goalkeeper Alisson Becker after witnessing his display against Everton on Sunday. The 26-year-old shot-stopper made several important and spectacular saves to deny the Toffees, particularly in the first-half and warranted all the praise that came his way. As one supporter rightly tweeted after the club spent a large amount of money on signing Alisson, their decision to do so had already been justified. Alisson was immense against the Toffees and was fantastic against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek despite suffering defeat to the French giants, and you feel that the Reds are way better for having him on their books. Hopefully the goalkeeper is able to keep delivering the goods between the sticks because as long as that keeps being the case, you feel the Reds are edging towards lifting silverware as a result. While the Reds’ attacking front three aren’t firing on all cylinders, there can be no doubt regarding the position of goalkeeper this season. Alisson was an important reason behind why the Reds secured a 1-0 win over the Toffees.
