COMMENTARY

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah had several opportunities to score against Everton on Sunday and struggled to take any of them. This left numerous Reds fans fuming with the winger’s performance and one even urged the club to sell him. That level of anger was unwarranted as Salah did keep trying to score and getting himself in a good position, it just wasn’t falling for him. The Egyptian winger is no doubt as frustrated by his own display as some of the fans below were, as the attacker clearly has high standards for himself. Salah has scored seven league goals this season and any other player would be beaming from ear to ear over that fact. However the player’s facial expression and body language regularly shows that he clearly wants to get more goals to his name. While Salah didn’t start on the right wing, clearly his best position, it seems fans want him to do more in games. While the 26-year-old wasn’t worthy of the Man of the Match award, he wasn’t deserving of a heavy level of criticism either. Salah was subbed when the score was 0-0 and that ended up changing, as the Reds won 1-0 thanks to Divock Origi.
