OPINION
Liverpool fans have been getting extremely excited about young striker Bobby Duncan – and for good reason. The 17-year-old forward, who joined in the summer from Manchester City, has been in prolific form for the Reds’ youth sides this season, and that streak continued on Saturday as he netted in a 3-2 loss against Manchester United in the Premier League Cup quarter-finals. Duncan, who is a cousin of club legend Steven Gerrard, decided to jump ship from City to secure a dream move to his hometown club, and that gamble is already paying huge dividends. Obviously it is still far too early to be thinking about the first-team, but at this rate that will come soon enough for the 17-year-old. As mentioned, Reds fans are getting very excited about seeing a Liverpool lad do so well in the youth set-up, and hopes are obviously high for Duncan’s future at Anfield. Hopefully that pressure does not get to him and he continues his development at this pace.
