Liverpool left back Andrew Robertson put pen to paper on a new long term contract on Thursday, as per the club’s official website. The Scotland captain has been a sensational signing for the Reds and the club’s fans are understandably thrilled with the news. The 24-year-old looks set to spend the best years of his career at Anfield, providing a tremendous long term boost to manager Jurgen Klopp. There has arguably been no finer left back in the Premier League than Robertson this season and he’s only going to get better in the coming years. With Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right hand side Liverpool probably have the best pair of full backs in the top flight. It’s incredible to think back to when Robertson was sat behind Alberto Moreno in the pecking order on Merseyside, as he has now effectively ended the Spaniard’s Liverpool career. It’s abundantly clear that the club’s fans are looking forward to seeing him in Liverpool red for many years to come.
