OPINION
It was another tricky day at the office for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita in his side’s 4-3 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Guinea international simply cannot seem to get to grips with English football, and he struggled again at Anfield. To be fair, he did seem to be the victim of a tactical mishap from Jurgen Klopp. He was being playing too far out wide rather than centrally, and wasn’t able to influence proceedings because he was marooned on the left hand side. He did grab an assist for Roberto Firmino’s goal, which will hopefully give him some confidence moving forward. However, the signs aren’t good for Keita at Liverpool. We are still waiting to see the player who bossed the midfield in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig. Fabinho and Jordan Henderson seemed to put more of a stamp on this game in midfield and, for whatever reason, it’s just not been happening for the 23-year-old.

Naby Keita truly has been abysmal. In every area. Passing is so inaccurate and he judges passes poorly. His first touch is that of Lukaku. #LFC

Keita keeps being played as a winger. He looks out of his depth at midfield half the time, never mind in the wrong position. I thought he'd be quality but he hasn't come into his own yet. I never said this about Ox or Fabinho either. #LFC
