Is there a better young full-back in the Premier League than Trent Alexander-Arnold right now? Liverpool fans certainly don’t think so, and on the basis of his performance against Watford on Wednesday evening, it’s easy to see why. The boy wonder was on fire against the Hornets, delivering exquisite cross after exquisite cross and proving just how much he has been missed during his recent injury absence. There are few young talents as bright as him, and the trajectory at which he is rising currently would suggest that he has all the attributes and potential to become genuinely world class. Jurgen Klopp has had his faith in the youngster repaid tenfold since he gave him his break, and surely it is just a matter of time before he is England’s undisputed number one in his position. The sky is the limit with Alexander-Arnold, and Liverpool fans must be running out of superlatives to use for their newest hero. He is so good, and so deadly in his delivery, that there has been talk of him maybe moving into a more advanced position as his career progresses, as Steven Gerrard did, and honestly, he looks more than capable of doing just that.
