COMMENTARY
Many Rangers fans were left saying that manager Steven Gerrard was capable of playing for their side after witnessing his display for Liverpool Legends on Saturday. The Gers boss scored a last-minute winner for the Reds’ legend team on Saturday to see them beat AC Milan Legends 3-2 at Anfield and it was like he rolled back the years. Gerrard showed he still had it with moments of class during the game and it seems he managed to impress loads of Rangers supporters who had tuned in to the game to see how their manager fared. Upon witnessing his display, several were open to the idea of having a player-manager at Ibrox while several cheekily asked if he could be registered in time for the Gers’ clash with Celtic. While Gerrard did look fantastic for the Reds’ legends on Saturday, you feel Gers fans were asking him to get his boots on due to them being disappointed with their side’s recent form more than anything else. Rangers haven’t won any of their last four games and have seen their hopes of lifting silverware effectively look over for another season.
