OPINION
The PFA Team of the Year got announced on Thursday morning on Twitter, and even though there is an abundance of Liverpool players in the line-up – including Sadio Mane and Virgil Van Dijk – these fans seem rather puzzled why their goalkeeper Alisson has not been included. They have a right to be frustrated, as the Brazilian has been really excellent in his first season since signing in the summer. Manchester City keeper Ederson has been voted in ahead of his international teammate, and it is a decision that these fans are clearly not happy about. Some have said that he has been “robbed” while some have branded the snub a “joke”. He has been one of the best keepers that the Reds have had in a while, and some of his saves have been game saving – so it is no wonder they are not happy about the decision. On the bright side, at least four of their players made the cut.
