Former Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina sent a motivational message to Alisson Becker after watching the Reds cruise to a 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.
In the process of victory, Alisson kept his 20th clean-sheet of the season in the league and joined an elite club of only four others to achieve that feat in the Premier League.
Pepe Reina is the only goalkeeper in history to have done this twice and sent a message on his personal twitter account to the Brazilian on Saturday morning.

The Spaniard hailed Alisson ‘fantastic on his first season’ and urged Liverpool on to win their first Premier League title in over 29 years.

Alisson has been nothing short of brilliant for Liverpool this season. After years of turmoil on the goalkeeping front with the like of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet making many mistakes, Alisson has put a stop to the trend and with the help of Virgil Van Dijk turned the Reds defence into one of the best in the league. Most of the season, Alisson has been a bystander, watching the brilliance unfold in-front of him but when he has been called into action he has been superb, making many a great save. The most important aspect that Alisson has brought to this Liverpool side has been his distribution. Similar to Ederson at Manchester City, when the ball is at his feet you could mistake his control and ability for that of a midfielder. This gives the players in-front of him a sense of relaxation as they know he will be available at any point in a game to take the pressure off and start attacks again. With two more games to go, Alisson should be looking for more clean sheets and to force his way above legends such as Pepe Reina and Peter Schmeichel.
