Liverpool wiinger Harry Wilson should ignore the reported interest from various Premier League clubs coming in for him and listen to overseas offers instead.

According to the Mirror, the Wales international wants out of Liverpool as he is ready to quit after narrowly missing out on promotion whilst on loan with Derby County in the Championship.

The newspaper claim that Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Southampton and Brighton are all interested in the forward, alongside a whole host of overseas clubs including the likes of Augsburg, Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt, with La Liga clubs also reportedly showing interest.

All things being considered, Wilson should definitely consider the interest from overseas despite having gained attention from a number of Premier League clubs.

You only have to look as far as a player like Jadon Sancho to understand why a move away from the English top flight is not always a negative thing, in fact the foreign leagues are a place for players like Wilson to flourish.

Sancho has thrived for Borussia Dortmund this season, scoring 13 goals and registering 19 assists in all competitions for the German giants this season, and this alone should be a sign of things to come for the Welsh international should he decide to take the plunge and move away from home for the sake of his career.

The 22-year old attacker has been incredibly impressive over the past few seasons on loan at Derby County and Hull City, and has managed 18 goals and six assists for the Rams this season, however he still wouldn’t get a look-in for the Reds, effectively leaving him with no option but to leave Anfield.

A move abroad, specifically to the Bundesliga or La Liga, would allow for the winger to further develop his career, make a name for himself away from England, and experience a completely different brand of football than what he’s been taught throughout his whole career.

If he were to stay in the Premier League and move to one of the mid-table sides showing interest in him, this has a certain feel to it which suggests Wilson may just become another forgotten player from one of the so-called ‘top six’ clubs, much like what nearly happened to Sancho before he made the switch to Germany.

There would be nothing to lose for the 22-year old in moving away, and he would be better off snubbing the English interest in the hope of landing a nice deal playing his football from a contrasting European destination.
