Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne could be on the way out of the club in the summer and has a number of clubs reportedly monitoring him.

According to Sky Sports, the 28-year old has attracted Premier League interest from Crystal Palace, West Ham and Bournemouth, and is also being monitored by an overseas club in the form of Napoli.

The Reds are reportedly looking for a fee of £15million for the defender, after his time at Anfield has been a constant struggle for first-team football in recent years.

At this stage in his career, Clyne must be knocking down the door of Jurgen Klopp to try and push a move away from Merseyside, allowing him to continue his career elsewhere.

A move away from England may even be best for the defender, and could potentially be a new start and a new challenge worth looking at in the upcoming summer months.

Although the 28-year old has been a respected servant for Liverpool since his arrival at the club in 2015, it is definitely his time to leave, after he spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth, where he managed 15 appearances for the club.

This is arguably Clyne’s best chance to resurrect his playing career, and find a home somewhere where he will be involved in first team football, whilst still playing at the highest level.

The defender’s price tag doesn’t seem too far-fetched, and with a number of top clubs keeping tabs on him, there will never be a better time than now to leave Anfield and start somewhere new.

Realistically, there isn’t really a chance that the 28-year old will be making his way back into the Liverpool starting eleven any time soon, especially considering the recent introduction of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has become a real fan favourite in the right-back position at Anfield, and played 39 times in all competitions for the Reds this season.

For his own sake, Clyne should be banging down Klopp’s door in order for the manager to allow him to leave as soon as possible in this summer window.
