OPINION
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Nabil Fekir has been made available for a transfer this summer and without great surprise, there are many Liverpool fans on Twitter who are urging the Merseyside club to sign the French attacker. Fekir, 25, came close to joining the Reds last summer before a move broke down. Last season he scored 12 goals and supplied nine assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Lyon and as Liverpool could do with a new attacking midfielder, fans believe that the France international is someone who they should be going all out to sign. Liverpool have definitely lacked strength in that area of the squad since Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona and as Fekir is now available and in the last year of his contract, he could be a bargain buy for the Reds this summer if they can strike a deal with Lyon chief Aulas.
Lyon Président Aulas on Nabil Fékir: “His preference is a departure. We are open to discussions. We’ve had no movement. We are waiting for offers in the coming days but for the moment there aren’t any.”
