Liverpool fans have every right to be urging the club to sign Donny van de Beek from Ajax this summer after the Netherlands international showcased exemplary form in the 2018/19 season. The 22-year-old scored 17 goals and supplied 13 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions last term as Ajax won the Eredivise title and came within seconds of playing against Liverpool in the Champions League final. Van de Beek was at the heart of most of Ajax’s best performances and Liverpool could really do with an attacking midfielder like him this summer. Luckily for these fans, the Reds are reportedly eyeing up the Dutch maestro. Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan, speaking to Sky Sports, has reported that Liverpool have scouted van de Beek in the last year. Hopefully that scouting leads to a bid and an eventual move to Merseyside because Jurgen Klopp can turn van be Beek into one of the best and most successful midfielders in the world.
