Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster has admitted that he wore his Champions League winner’s medal while he got a haircut.

The teenage striker did not feature for the Reds during their European run, which Liverpool are well fancied to repeat next year on sportsbetting24.in, but was an unused substitute in the final against Tottenham, and received a medal as part of the squad.

And it seems that he had a hard time taking it off.

After having taken part in a lie detector test for the club’s official website, Brewster wrote on Twitter: “Glad they didn’t ask me if I wore my Champions League medal for a trim.”

OPINION

This is ace, to be fair. You just know that had you won a Champions League medal at the age of 19, you would never, ever take it off. Brewster must have been proud as punch after the European win, and he had every right to be. He may not have gotten onto the field during the final, but that Liverpool squad is so tight that every single player, whether they feature or not, has his part to play. As far as Brewster goes, he looks for all the world as if he has a massive future ahead of him, and after spending the majority of last season sidelined with an ankle problem, it’s exciting to think about what the future could hold for him. With Daniel Sturridge leaving, he has moved up the pecking order by default, and if a report from the Mirror is to be believed, he could well be given a lot of opportunities to prove himself next term.
