Tottenham are in pole position to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer as Liverpool look set to miss out on the Spain international, according to the Independent.
The news outlet claims that Ceballos, 22, is keen to quit the Bernabeu before next season starts and while there is Premier League interest in the former Real Betis ace, a move to Anfield no longer seems to be an option.
Ceballos has made 56 appearances in all competitions since joining Real Madrid in July 2017.
He only made 13 starts in La Liga last season.

Liverpool do have players like Ceballos who like to sit deep a control the tempo in the midfield, but the wantaway Madrid player would still have been a good addition to Klopp’s side.
