Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are cruising through this transfer window at this current moment in time, with the agenda firmly on younger players who are available at cheap prices. An interesting report from German outlet Bild on Friday claimed that the Reds had joined Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the hunt to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, and pointed out he’d cost at least £89.8million. Klopp could do nothing wrong by going all out to sign the 20-year-old, who would fit in behind his front-three perfectly. Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino outscored 13 Premier League sides last season, with more threat needed from midfield to not get over-reliant on them. Havertz would be the perfect player to do that, with the attacking midfielder finishing as the joint third-highest scorer in the Bundesliga last season with 17 goals.
