OPINION
Liverpool released a post on their official Twitter account on Saturday revealing that manager Jurgen Klopp expects left back Andrew Robertson to be back in training in just a few days after receiving a small procedure to deal with an infection he’d picked up over the off season. While it’s unknown what that infection was, it’s clearly not the most serious of problems if he’s going to be back within a few days. Liverpool’s reliance on Robertson has become so huge over the past 18 months that any update on his health and fitness is poured over with a fine tooth comb. However, on this occasion, it’s clearly nothing to worry about. Alberto Moreno’s departure on a free earlier this summer means that the Reds have only Robertson as a senior left back, although midfielder James Milner and centre half Joe Gomez can fill in if necessary, as well as youngster Adam Lewis.
