Hockey star turned television personality Samantha Quek has delivered a Liverpool-based roasting to former Tottenham Hotspur player Jermaine Jenas.
The sporting duo are going head to head in a prediction challenge for footie5, and things have begun to get rather competitive between two people who were on opposite ends of the Champions League final in June.
After Jenas delivered his predictions, Quek came back with a humorous reply: “Oh please…,” she wrote on her personal Twitter account.
“You’re on for a bigger hiding than your beloved Spurs got in the Champions League Final…”

Quek clearly had this reply locked and loaded for whatever Jenas was going to say in terms of prediction-based trash talking. At the end of the day, as a Liverpool supporter she has the upper hand on Jenas thanks to that Champions League final victory. However, to say that the Reds gave Spurs a hiding in that game is a bit of a stretch. Neither team played well at all, and it was a pretty poor Champions League final in all honesty. Really, Tottenham could well have got something from the game – and probably would have had Liverpool had Loris Karius in goal, as they did for the previous year’s showpiece event, rather than a world class shot-stopper like Alisson. It’s no surprise the Brazil international was named man of the match, because he was crucial in Liverpool’s eventual triumph. So, no, Tottenham didn’t receive a hiding in that game, but Quek will still feel she has come out victorious in this exchange.
