There is no hiding the fact that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp can be a loose cannon at times.

You never know what to expect from the German, something that was highlighted when he recited the Rocky films when celebrating Adrian’s penalty shootout save in the Reds’ UEFA Super Cup victory.

Klopp has always been adored by all Liverpool fans but had never won a piece of silverware during his first couple of seasons the club.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager put an end to that at the end of last season when he secured the club’s sixth Champions League trophy which was followed by the Super Cup victory in Istanbul.

In true Klopp style though, the outspoken character admitted at the Sports Bild Awards as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio, that he may retire after two or three years, and warned fans not to be surprised if he does.

“I hope to continue like this, but within two, three years,” he said.

“I don’t know what may happen. Maybe I’ll retire. That doesn’t mean it’ll happen, but if it does, don’t be surprised.”

Liverpool fans will be sweating over the comments made by Klopp and must be crossing their fingers for more than the maximum three years suggested by their leader.

Anfield without Klopp would simply destroy Liverpool fans, and the 52-year-old himself has enjoyed his greatest management spell so far in the Premier League.

The Reds are the third team Klopp has managed and he currently averages 1.97 points per game after 212 matches in charge of the club [Transfermarkt], something only losing once in the Premier League last season drastically helped.

On top of that, Klopp also became Liverpool’s quickest manager to reach 300 points – beating club legends such as Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, reaching the milestone in 146 matches [talkSPORT].

Liverpool fans will be sweating over Klopp comments and crossing their fingers that he decides to stick around much longer than the suggested three years.
