Stan Collymore has precited a bright future ahead at Liverpool, with their exciting talents continuing to shine.

The pundit was particularly excited by Harry Wilson, on-loan at Bournemouth after he scored a free-kick in their defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

Collymore also picked out Harvey Elliott, who he has suggested will come into the Reds’ set-up soon – highlighting that defender Trent Alexander-Arnold could be veteran when the former Fulham youngster breaks out at Anfield.

Speaking on The Last Word with Stan Collymore podcast, the former England international set one eye on the future for Liverpool with their academy talent currently out on-loan and in their ranks.

“Harry Wilson with a fantastic free-kick, he’s going to be a massive plus for them and I do wonder, you know, thinking ahead, Harvey Elliott, a young teenager that’s gone to Liverpool, Harry Wilson, still got Trent Alexander-Arnold, that when those two guys hopefully go into the Liverpool team, Trent will be a veteran,” he said.

“The future is very bright for Liverpool.”

OPINION

With all of the current success going on with the Reds so far, it would come as no surprise if the younger options available to the club could go under-the-radar. Wilson definitely excelled with Derby County last season in the Championship, finishing as their top-scorer with 16 goals. The real test for the Welsh international was whether or not he could continue that in the Premier League with the Cherries, and so far, he has done just that. Wilson has scored two goals already and does not look out of place so far. Elliott arrived in the summer from Fulham as the youngest ever player to feature in the Premier League, something that only highlights his potential. As for Alexander-Arnold, at only 20-years-old has already featured 79 times for the Reds, and is already a fan-favourite. If the young wing-back continues on the same vein of form as he has in the previous two years, then he is clearly on his way to becoming a veteran at the club to held nurture the youngest talents available who could want to replicate his path into the first-team.
