OPINION
Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius provided yet more evidence of why the Reds shipped him off on a two-year loan to Turkish side Besiktas on Thursday. In a Europa League clash with Slovan Bratislava, that his loan club Besiktas would eventually lose 4-2, Karius committed an absolute howler for Andraž Šporar’s first goal for the hosts. The German decided to make an ill-advised rush out from his goal to try and intercept a long ball forward. Unfortunately for him and his team, he misjudged the flight of the ball completely and fluffed an attempted headed clearance. The ball merely patted his head on its way past, while Karius’ leap knocked over the covering Besiktas defender, as well. Šporar, as you would expect, gleefully tapped the ball into an empty net to put his side into the lead. The error has been seized upon by the Liverpool fans, who have absolutely destroyed Karius for it. Look, you never want to be too harsh on a player, and Karius has had it worse than most. All you can do is judge this particular incident, and there’s no defending the ‘keeper here. He got it massively wrong, there’s no disputing that.

This guy has these massive mistakes in him every 4-5 weeks he plays .. I’m sorry but I’m glad he doesn’t start for us anymore. He is terrible! Clearly in the wrong job!
