The Liverpool career of goalkeeper Loris Karius is best left in the past.

The German stopper is best remembered at Anfield for the countless number of mistakes that he has made in some of the biggest games in the club’s recent history.

You can not speak about Karius without mentioning the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid a couple of seasons ago. He could be forgiven for not saving Gareth Bale’s wonder strike, but the mistake to give Karim Benzema is simply unforgivable.

Jurgen Klopp made the decision to send Karius out on loan to Besiktas, and his luck hasn’t really increased whilst temporarily in Turkey.

The unreliable stopper has continued to make a number of mistakes for the Turkish giants, and he isn’t exactly doing himself any favours – despite still believing that he can play for Liverpool in the future [Daily Mail].

That is a goal that he must surely forget about, and he must prepare himself to be permanently axed at Anfield, with the Reds having not one but two better options available to them this season.

Alisson Becker is one of the best in the world at this moment, picking up the Golden Glove award in the Premier League, the Champions League, and even the Copa America last season.

There were eyebrows raised over the signing of Adrian in the summer, but the Spaniard has been phenomenal when deputising for the Brazilian international – helping maintain Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the season.

In a recent report by Takvim, it is suggested that Besiktas are set to hold talks with Liverpool over the possibility of terminating Karius’ loan move.

The Turkish outlet claim that Besiktas are unhappy with the 26-year-old and are not satisfied with his levels of performance so far this season.

With Adrian and Alisson at the top of their games this season, Karius’ hopes of playing for the Reds seem very limited and he is surely facing the permanent axe in the January window.
