OPINION
Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold was in scintillating attacking form for the Reds in their vital 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The England international could have done better for Harry Kane’s early opener, yes, failing to close down Son Heung-min effectively and allowing the South Korean the space to hammer a shot off the bar and into the path of the Three Lions skipper. However, he didn’t look back from then on, rampaging forward relentlessly and producing a key header away from goal just before the Reds won the penalty that Mohamed Salah converted to put them into the lead. The quality and consistency of Alexander-Arnold’s crosses is something to behold. The 21-year-old reliably whips tremendous balls into the box with almost robotic-like consistency. He barely ever knocks in a bad one. All you can do is sit back and admire what a phenomenal footballer this young man is.
