Many Liverpool fans were in awe of midfielder Fabinho during the 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday as a number of supporters couldn’t seem to say enough nice words about the 25-year-old. One Liverpool fan claimed that Fabinho was unbelievable against the Foxes, while another supporter who didn’t want to go over the top, described the midfield enforcer as the greatest player he had ever seen. While Fabinho’s performance garnered such high praise from the Anfield faithful, it wasn’t really a surprise as the midfield enforcer has been on top form for most of the season. The 25-year-old has averaged two tackles per game, 2.8 interceptions and has even maintained an impressive 88% pass completion rate, as per WhoScored, in order to help dictate the tempo of games with his passes. The only reason why some Liverpool fans should be surprised about how good Fabinho was on Saturday was due to his display against Red Bull Salzburg. While the midfield enforcer was good overall in that 4-3 win, he did appear to make a few mistakes during a 15 minute period, so maybe fans forgot just how good he is.
