Jeff Stelling has issued his score prediction for Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds travel to Selhurst Park having dropped just two points in the league so far this term, and currently hold an eight point lead at the top of the table.

And Stelling believes that they will continue that run of form with a tight win over the Eagles.

The Soccer Saturday presenter told Sky Sports that he is expecting a 2-1 win for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

OPINION

You’d fancy Stelling to have gotten this one right, although 2-1 is a much closer scoreline than many travelling Kopites will be hoping for. The Reds are in a fantastic run of form at the moment, and it would be a real shock if Palace, who have not won in their last four, were able to bring a halt to this juggernaut. That being said, the Eagles have delivered sucker punches to Liverpool before, and with the title very much in their sights, supporters will not allow their hopes to be prematurely raised at all. The absence of both Mo Salah and Andy Robertson, as per Sky Sports, could prove to be a real blow for the Reds, especially with a lack of recognised cover at left-back, but even taking those obstacles into account, it would be a shock if Jurgen Klopp’s men didn’t take all three points back to Merseyside with them.
