Liverpool return to Champions League action on Tuesday night when they welcome Belgian outfit Genk to Anfield in another pivotal game for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Reds won the reverse fixture 4-1 a couple of weeks ago, largely on the strength of a couple of screamers from midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

And the England international is likely to be one of two changes Klopp makes from Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, coming in for Georginio Wijnaldum.

The other looks set to be Fabinho returning in place of Adam Lallana, with the Brazilian being handed a much-needed rest at Villa Park.

Nothing will likely change between the sticks, though. Alisson put in a decent shift against the Villans and will almost certainly keep his place ahead of Adrian, here.

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold can expect to keep his place at right back. On the opposite flank, meanwhile, Andrew Robertson looks sure to start once again.

At the heart of the defence, Klopp seems to have settled on Dejan Lovren alongside Virgil van Dijk, with Joel Matip out injured. That duo will likely continue on Tuesday.

Midfield is where the changes are expected to be made. Fabinho was only rested on Saturday, and so he will surely come back in for Lallana. Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain is in fine form and so can expect to replace Wijnaldum. Captain Jordan Henderson will probably keep his place alongside them.

Despite the best efforts of Divock Origi, most notably against Arsenal on Wednesday night, the Reds’ front three still looks impregnable. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will all likely start against Genk.
