Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has really started to hit the ground running this season.

The England international finally returned to full fitness after struggling with a major injury in the past couple of campaigns after picking up a problem in the Champions League.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been in great form in the past couple of months in the final third, scoring in the Champions League, the Carabao Cup and even on international duty against Montenegro recently in the 7-0 win.

With Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson classed as major doubts by Sky Sports, Jurgen Klopp will be expected to make changes in London.

The Telegraph recently reported that Georginio Wijnaldum, Joe Gomez, and Jordan Henderson are all expected to feature against Crystal Palace.

On Thursday, the Daily Star followed that by revealing in the potential absence of Salah at Selhurst Park, Klopp is expected to hand either Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Divock Origi a chance.

The 26-year-old needs to be given the chance to cement his spot in the side, as he has proven in all other competitions that he can bring the much-needed creativity and goals from outside of the Reds’ prolific front-three.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has starred in the Champions League this season, averaging three shots on goal per game according to WhoScored – something that could benefit Klopp should he give him the chance against Palace.

Belgian forward, Origi has been much less effective in all competitions despite playing a more progressed role, averaging 0.6 shots on goal according to WhoScored – not enough for a striker.

The Ox is definitely in a better position to play against Roy Hodgson’s side and he should be handed that chance by Klopp after an impressive couple of months.
