Harry Redknapp has admitted that he can’t see Liverpool losing this season on their way to their first-ever Premier League title.

The former Tottenham manager claimed that he can’t envisage any other outcome put Jurgen Klopp lifting the title and that it is an impossibility that any other club will finish top.

Redknapp shared that he thinks Manchester City will chase the table-toppers for a short while before giving up and putting all their concentration on winning the Champions League.

“Oh yeah for sure, I can’t see any other outcome than Liverpool winning it,” he said at an event, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“I mean, absolutely for me, it’s an impossibility. I can’t even see Liverpool losing.

“I think they will put all their eggs in the Champions League basket. Man City should try to win that this year.”

Liverpool went into the international break with a nine-point gap over Pep Guardiola’s side after beating them 3-1 at Anfield in the crunch clash.

OPINION

Redknapp is spot on to predict that he can’t see anyone but Liverpool winning the title this season. It is in the Reds’ hands already, and they technically have a three-game gap between them and their nearest rivals. Liverpool have only lost once in the Premier League since the beginning of last season, and that highlights their terrific form, but it still doesn’t mean it will be an easy task. Injuries have hit the Liverpool squad hard during the international break, with key players such as Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah both struggling. It is key how they react to those setbacks, and they must find a way to win without a number of their best players. Klopp will not let his players’ concentration slip at any point, and he will be making sure they take it one game at a time. A lot of factors can help the Reds, and should they have the majority of their at full-strength, they will be near-impossible to stop.
