Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting to a report in the Liverpool Echo claiming that four members of the Reds’ first team squad could be moved on in the summer transfer window. Xherdan Shaqiri, Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren are all believed to be considered dispensable by the Anfield club, with news of the quartet’s potential departures shared by @AnfieldEdition on Twitter.

As noted by the Liverpool Echo, the English duo will be out of contract in the summer and are expected to be let leave for pastures new, while the club have privately indicated that an offer of £25m could prompt them to sell the Swiss winger and may also be open to offers of £14m or more for the Croatian centre-back.

Lovren is the only one of the four to have played for more than 1,000 minutes this season, making nine Premier League and three Champions League starts. Lallana has started only three Premier League games in 2019/20, one more than Shaqiri has managed, while Clyne has not played all season due to a long convalescence from a cruciate ligament rupture in July 2019.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter voiced their agreement with the club’s reported plans to let those four players ago, with some Kopites believing that the list of departures should be even more populous:

Should Liverpool dispense with Shaqiri, Lallana, Lovren and Clyne this summer or hang on to some (or all) of them? Are there any other players that should be moved on in the next transfer window? Join in the discussion by commenting below!
