A number of Liverpool fans have flatly dismissed the club’s reported links with Arsenal hotshot Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after 90min.com claimed that the Reds had identified him as a target in their intentions to enhance their attacking options.
According to 90min.com, and as shared on Twitter by @AnfieldEdition, Jurgen Klopp remains a huge admirer of the 30-year-old, with whom he worked during their mutual time at Borussia Dortmund, although Liverpool’s main focus continues to be the pursuit of RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
Liverpool are surprisingly interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer to add more depth to the attack this summer.

Aubameyang, the Premier League’s joint top scorer last season alongside Reds duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, has struck 20 goals in all competitions for Arsenal this term, the same as Liverpool’s current top scorer Salah. His tally of 17 league goals in the current campaign puts him second in the Golden Boot race, two goals behind Leicester’s Jamie Vardy. He has yet to score against the Reds since joining Arsenal, although he did score at Anfield for Borussia Dortmund in a Europa League clash four years ago (as per TransferMarkt).
These Liverpool fans on Twitter weren’t prepared to buy into the links with the Gabon striker and believe it to be a work of fiction:
Lies. We don’t pay crazy money for older players. Bin this one.
